Husband's Birthday!

Happy Birthday to the LOVE OF MY LIFE who teaches me how to fight that evil every.single. day!

He’s taught humility. How equally important standing behind the camera is as in front of it. How he uses his #cameraforchrist.

He’s modeled service. Not by talking about it, but through silent action. Morning coffee creamers, full gas tanks, Sunday scrambled eggs, an empty house when he plays with the kids.

He’s taught patience. His melancholic spirit calming my sanguine impulses. Like the process of building a home, one step at a time, not by conquering my list at once! Like the intention of heart, not for an immediate Instagram like, but of faithfully doing the work God’s calling us to do. “I don’t want to be an influencer babe. I just want to provide for my family, have a good marriage and raise good boys.” Spill my tears of joy.

He’s led our family in faith. “Is there anything you want me to cover in homeschool this week?” “Just teach them the commandments. Teach them good manners. Teach them the faith.”

He’s taught me humor through the balance of teamwork. I still have a hard time watching The Office or Seinfeld, but now I see the fruits of relaxing!

Thank you, Lord, for the day of this man’s birth! For my mother in law choosing life to the humble, man-behind-the-camera I get to call husband.

I’m sorry for the times I’ve lost my temper on him, and the times I’ve put him last.

I’m grateful for God’s mercy. The inspiration of the saints and all who’ve inspired the journey of marriage!
