Homeschool Booklist

I read my first homeschool book when my oldest was 2 years old. I remember being completely fascinated at the academic advantages homeschool could offer. Through the years I continued reading, and I’m absolutely sure my own research and reading is what helped my decision and confidence. I’d recommend just picking any homeschool book and starting! I would put tons of homeschool books on hold at the library, there are so many different methods and styles, if something isn’t resonating with you, definitely try something new. My favorites are the Classical, Charlotte Mason, Montessori, Catholic ones. I’m not a personal fan of unschooling (John Holt types), but the awesome thing is that you can pick what works for you! You won’t regret making the effort, no matter what you end up deciding. I’ll list my top ten favorites here:

  1. Teaching From Rest

  2. For the Children’s Sake

  3. The Well Trained Mind

  4. Educating the WholeHearted Child

  5. Catholic Homeschooling

  6. Designing Your Own Classical Education

  7. Home Education

  8. A Thomas Jefferson Education

  9. The Absorbent Mind

  10. Better Together
