Your Pro-Life Story

Dear friend, when you think your story isn’t important. When you doubt your feminine genius

Last night we received tragic news of a woman choosing abortion.

We stormed heaven, offered to adopt, and felt the realness of that unborn life.

I put my hand on my pregnant belly and cried.

I listened to Judge Amy defend life at fertilization.

I watched my dirty sons slam nerf guns and opened my Blessed is She planner. Today’s feast of Saint Teresa of Avila,

“Let nothing perturb you, nothing frighten you. All things pass. God doesn’t change. Patience achieves everything.”

Begging for guidance. Women are doubting, I said.

I thought of my last post on teaching children stories. It clicked. Remember the irreplaceable value of our own.

Remind us when we wash the dishes, navigate naptime schedules, we’re valuing life.

When we sit with our husband on the couch or schedule a date night, we’re valuing life.

When we hold our rosary, we’re valuing life.

At the top of the planner was another quote by Edith Stein,

“Each woman who lives in the light of eternity can fulfill her vocation, no matter if it is in marriage, in a religious order, or in a worldly profession.”

Fulfilling through our story.

How do we know where our story fits in the fight for life? Maybe

Educating like Live Action, Students for Life, or FemCatholic.

Caring for a Down Syndrome child, or a special needs child,

Trying to mother well – tag every mama ;)

Sharing about miscarriage,

Encouraging fertility awareness,

Battling the medical front lines,

Carrying new life,

Spreading beauty that inspires life,

Encouraging modesty,

Praying locally or fostering healthy relationships,

Or whatever way the Lord is calling.

Today, Lord, help us see You working in our life’s story. Grant us the patience of St. Teresa when we doubt. The feminine genius of Edith Stein. Help us value each life, starting with our own. It’s important. It matters. ❤️

In Joy,

Alex
