Embracing the Season

On this last day of summer (what😳!?), how the word SEASON is LIFE-CHANGING! 🙌🏻

“It’s just a season, Alex. Things will change, embrace where you are right now. Just as nature changes the leaves, no circumstances in life are permanent.”

I remember after our first baby, jumping back to graduate school, juggling our newborn between grandparents.

After our second, moving to our new home, craving professional outlets, training as a Fertility Care Practitioner, starting Blessed is She. Finding two small kids in motherhood the hardest transition!

After our third, blogging while returning to NP work & adjusting to a new homeschool schedule.

After the positive test with our fourth, peacefully quitting my job. Seeing this picture, reminding that this season, I’m called home.

Remembering what’s helped embrace the crazy transitions:

1. Naming the current season! Is my season: a new beginning, a fresh homeschooler, new mom of blank, suffering through blank, a mom waiting for blank, a happy content time with blank?

2. Looking for the grace in the previous season! (even through Corona 😩🤪 where did I see Him specifically working in my life?)

2. Praying Ecclesiastes 3

“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die;
A time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
A time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to case away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to seek, and a time to lose;
A time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew;
A time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate;
A time for war, and a time for peace.”

Ladies, let’s use this virtual world as a place to learn from other women’s seasons!
The magic of remembering & choosing to believe, “He’s made everything beautiful in its time!”

It might never be easy, but can always be good! 🙏😘

Where are you struggling & where are you finding joy this season?❤️

In Joy,

Alex
