JOY at HOME Tips

“If you want to change the world, go HOME and love your family.” ❤️

Easier said than done, Amen? As changing leaves turn us inward - how can we feel more peace in our own homes to pass along to others?

They say choose one favorite spot. Here’s mine! Where I sit for naptime stories 😘, nighttime reading, family prayer! & ah yes, those SHELVES!!! 😍 Story on that later, thank you designer husband, pinch me please!

They say to tell OURSELVES “there’s no place like home,” in order pass that feeling to others.

“They may forget what you said, but they’ll never forget how you made them feel.”

New season- we got this!!!

Here’s what’s helped me in the home:

Favorite Tips:

1. Start small, look at what you DO have.
2. Focus on ONE spot. Claim one special mama reading chair or quiet prayer corner, where you can feel comfortable sitting without the need to look around the room at what’s missing. (a learned behavior for sure! I can rarely relax in my kitchen without looking at what needs to be done 🤪
3. Stimulate your senses in the home: light a candle, sip the yummy drink, stream calming music, look at beautiful images

A friend said, “home” is the hardest part of homeschool. Truth bomb! The goal isn’t perfection, award winning design or sparkling clean homes. The goal is an atmosphere of love. ❤️ Striving for intentional small spots of joy and peace, where the Lord will fill the rest 🙌🏻

In the words of our beloved Padre Pio today, “Pray, hope, and don’t worry!” 🙏

Happy Fall ladies! 🍁

Tell me all your home favorites I missed or anything I can share for you!!! 🏠❤️👊
