Laugh & Date-Night Challenge!

“Laugher is the best medicine!” My Grandma Rose would say. ❤️🌹

You could hear that 4 foot nothing Italian woman’s laugh from across the room. She would flirt with the young waiters, crack jokes at family parties, and just light up the room. I remember celebrating her 50th wedding anniversary to my grandpa, singing fun songs and holding that microphone with joy.

Unfortunately, she passed before I met Nick. Fortunately, he also had the laughter encouragement gene! Anyone else take everything too seriously?

Unsure how to navigate Instagram during this climate, maybe taking it too seriously, Thinking how we’re all feeling the tension online today. But don’t feel bad about sharing your joys! My exact thoughts for #choosingjoyonline.

Well tonight is our first 2021, and first post-partum datenight! Andrew will be joining 😉 And I wanted to share that joy with you!

I know he’ll try to make me laugh. Such a blessing to have a man who makes you laugh. Laughter lowers our blood pressure. Decreases our stress levels. Binds us relationships. Brings joy.

And remember, “There’s NO greater force against evil in the world than the love of a man and woman in marriage!” 🙌🏻😍

My friend Amy @prayerwinechocolateshared this powerful quote from Saint Zelie, (one of the greatest married saints to follow) in a letter to her brother in 1863, (check out her post!)

“I’m always so happy with him, he makes my life very pleasant. What a holy man my husband is. I wish the same for all women; that’s my wish for them for the New Year.” Saint Zelie

How important is laughter and joy in our relationships? How much do our souls need that medicine? Help us Grandma & Saint Zelie to see!

Friday challenge: #dateyourspouse, (couch movie night counts!) plan a dinner date night for 2021 & LAUGH!

Let’s use this tool to encourage & that spread JOY!

For fun - what’s something that’s made you laugh (with your spouse or in general) lately?!😅🙌🏻

In Joy,

Alex
