Moments of Grace!
“He can teach you more in one moment than you can learn from 55 books. It’s called the sacrament of the present moment.”
Solitude. Silence. Surrender.
Wow. Look at how our children teach us!
Yesterday afternoon, I’d just confessed my lack of prayer to the deacon.
He didn’t know I’d just written about booklists. (btw if you missed my stories and book post comments, check them out for amazing spiritual recommendations!) He didn’t know Nick just captured this picture. Jesus knew the details.
“Well, the good news is that you miss Him. Turn your attention to Him!
Pour your heart out to Jesus when you’re feeding the baby.
Give yourself grace in this season.
Our Lord is like a humble beggar. Waiting for us to open the door.
Its those little moments that God does so much in our soul.
Solitude. Silence. Surrender.
Send darts to Jesus throughout your day. Give him the 30 seconds or 5 minutes you have.”
Discerning the world’s noise, reading life-changing books, having prudent discussions with friends, all important.
But they only take us so far.
Solitude. Silence. Surrender.
There’s where our answers lie.
Let’s give Him our 30 seconds, our 5 minutes, today.
He’s patiently waiting,
In our children’s faces, our messy kitchens, our reheated coffees,
In the sacrament of our present moment.
I hope it blesses you!
